Multiple tremors, ranging from magnitude 1.4 to 3.8, have jolted parts of Gujarat's Rajkot district, specifically Upleta, Dhoraji, and Jetpur talukas, between Thursday night and Friday afternoon. While the repeated shaking, described as an 'earthquake swarm,' caused panic and prompted residents to seek refuge in open fields, officials reported no loss of life or property damage. As a precaution, authorities declared a holiday for schools and anganwadis in old buildings and advised residents to move to safer locations.
