Chandigarh's PGIMER urology team, led by Prof Santosh Kumar, has set a new world record by performing four robotic radical prostatectomies for prostate cancer in a single day using one da Vinci system. The nine-hour marathon session on January 1 saw each complex, minimally invasive procedure completed with remarkable efficiency and teamwork. All four patients recovered smoothly without complications, and the achievement is expected to reduce waiting times for robotic surgeries.
