A new study from Newcastle University suggests that short, intense bursts of exercise, such as 10 minutes daily, may inhibit bowel cancer growth. Researchers found that such activity triggers rapid molecular changes in the bloodstream, altering gene activity in cancer cells related to DNA repair and growth. These findings, published in the International Journal of Cancer, could lead to new therapies mimicking exercise's beneficial effects on cancer cells and DNA repair.
