The Festival of India, a month-long exhibition in Coonoor, showcases timeless crafts and textiles from across India. Curated by Aparna Challu, founder of CraftsBazaar and Respect Origins, the event features items like Kashmiri Kani suits, West Bengal's Kantha work, Ladakh's wool and Pashmina, Manipur baskets, and pottery from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The exhibition also includes Chikankari, Kasuti embroidery, Lambani tribal jewellery, Gujarat brass coasters, and kitchenware from Uttar Pradesh, aiming to connect rural artisans with consumers.
