The Delhi government has introduced new guidelines for the Rajya Shilpkar and Rajya Dakshata Puraskar to support local artisans and enhance handicrafts. Prize money for these awards has been significantly increased, with the Rajya Shilpkar Puraskar now offering Rs 1 lakh and the Rajya Dakshata Puraskar Rs 75,000. The initiative aims to honor skilled artisans across 24 categories, including special provisions for women and persons with disabilities, recognizing Delhi's rich handicraft heritage.
