Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed officials to actively implement the 'Apna Vidyalaya' adoption program, aiming to improve education quality in government schools. District and sub-divisional officers are mandated to adopt at least four schools each as mentors, interacting with students monthly and conducting surprise inspections. The initiative seeks to provide consistent guidance and career counseling, with a list of adopted schools due by January 5. Over 4,200 schools have already been adopted under the program.
