Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, a prominent Kashmiri Pandit voice and chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF), passed away in New Delhi at 91. The JKDF advocates for dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue. Bazaz, son of Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz, was known for promoting inter-community brotherhood and raising concerns over human rights violations. He earned respect from separatist leaders and was invited by the Pakistan High Commission to meet then-President Pervez Musharraf in 2001. Bazaz opposed the idea of a separate homeland for Kashmiri Pandits.
