Following a recent tragedy in Indore where seven people died from a diarrhoea outbreak linked to contaminated water, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has launched a state-wide 'Swachh Jal Abhiyan' (Clean Water Campaign). The campaign aims to ensure safe drinking water for all citizens in rural and urban areas, with directives for regular water quality testing and prompt repair of pipeline leakages. The opposition Congress has called for the resignation of the Urban Development Minister and plans a protest over the deaths.
