Complaints have emerged regarding alleged flaws in the assignment of Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) within Kochi Corporation, with geographical contiguity reportedly disregarded. Residents face difficulties accessing UPHCs due to divisions being assigned to distant centers, necessitating multiple bus journeys. Councillor Henry Austin highlighted that the current system, based on outdated division numbers, needs revision to align with new boundaries and ensure residents are directed to the nearest UPHC for better accessibility.
