
The Telangana assembly unanimously passed a resolution urging the central government to expedite approvals for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) on the Krishna River. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stated the project, initiated in 2015, has faced delays due to pending environmental and hydrological clearances, increasing costs. The assembly also resolved to oppose any diversion of Godavari waters by Andhra Pradesh until inter-state water disputes are settled.
