Rashid Ullamppilly, the new chairperson of Thrikkakara municipality, has outlined a development-focused agenda prioritizing ten key goals for his first year. These objectives include enhancing waste management, ensuring consistent water supply, controlling stray dog populations, and promoting sustainable urban development. Ullamppilly also plans to boost local revenue by improving services to encourage residents to spend within the municipality, proposing a remodeled bus stand and a new mall with amenities. The municipality is also expanding a mini drinking water scheme to ensure uninterrupted supply.
