A Madhya Pradesh government-funded research project in Jabalpur, exploring cancer treatments using traditional cow-based preparations (Panchagavya), is under investigation for alleged financial mismanagement. Launched in 2011 with Rs 3.5 crore sanctioned, a probe found nearly Rs 1.92 crore spent on raw materials like cow dung and urine between 2011-2018, costs investigators claim are vastly inflated. The inquiry also flagged non-essential expenditures, including a luxury vehicle and air travel, with unclear relevance to research goals.
