Six Bajrang Dal members arrested for vandalizing Christmas decorations at Raipur's Magneto Mall on Christmas Eve have been granted bail by a Sessions Court. Supporters welcomed the individuals with garlands and processions, chanting slogans. The group claims the vandalism was a protest against alleged religious conversions in Chhattisgarh. An FIR was filed against 30-40 unknown individuals for trespassing and property damage, with six men and a minor arrested subsequently. A magistrate court had previously denied them bail.
