In a political realignment in Maharashtra's Ambernath Municipal Council, the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), along with an independent, have formed a new bloc to claim power. This move counters the BJP's strategy, which had sought to gain control by incorporating 12 suspended Congress councillors. The Shiv Sena emerged as the single largest party with 27 seats, while the BJP secured 14. The new coalition, with 32 members, aims to lead the council, despite Sena and NCP being allies with BJP in the state government.
