Punjab's quality control team inspected the Dera Hansali Road following reports of its deterioration shortly after carpeting. Samples were collected for lab testing, and the contractor, BS Builders, is undertaking repairs. The road, built for Rs 11 crore, is to be maintained for five years. Authorities are investigating the project's assignment and ensuring contractor payment is contingent on satisfactory work, with a second layer of carpeting planned for April.
