District in-charge Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan visited the family, promising further assistance, including housing and support for a small business. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that the culprits would face justice and attributed the violence to the presence of BJP leader G. Janardhan Reddy in Ballari.
