Security has been heightened across Nepal's Madhesh province following religious tensions that erupted in Birgunj and Janakpur over a TikTok video. The dispute, triggered by religiously targeted comments, led to protests, vandalism of a mosque, and clashes between demonstrators and police. Authorities arrested three individuals for posting the video and vandalism, and police used tear gas to control the situation. Seven police personnel sustained minor injuries during the unrest.
