The BJP and JD(S) in Karnataka have accused the Congress government of spreading misinformation about the Union government's VB-G RAM G scheme, which they describe as a rural employment program strengthening gram panchayats. Opposition leaders H.D. Kumaraswamy and B.Y. Vijayendra stated the scheme complements, rather than dilutes, MGNREGA, aims to increase transparency, and involves a 60:40 funding pattern. They welcomed the Chief Minister's decision to hold a special legislative session to discuss the issue.
