An encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists in a forest area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir. The exchange of fire began Wednesday evening near Kamadh Nullah in the Billawar area following intelligence reports of terrorist presence. A joint operation involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Operations Group and the Army is ongoing, with CRPF also participating. No injuries have been reported on either side as of the report's filing. The area is known as a traditional infiltration route.
