The U.S. State Department has revoked over 100,000 visas in under a year, a record number, as part of the Trump administration's intensified immigration crackdown. This includes approximately 8,000 student visas and 2,500 specialized visas for individuals with criminal encounters, such as assault, theft, and DUIs. The revocations are more than double the previous year's figures and are attributed to increased post-entry monitoring and enforcement efforts aimed at enhancing national security and public safety.
