The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has ordered the closure of 16 industrial units across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana in the National Capital Region (NCR). Inspections revealed persistent and gross environmental violations, including operating without required permits, malfunctioning pollution control devices, use of unapproved fuels, and visible emissions. These actions are part of intensified enforcement efforts to curb air pollution, with units directed to cease operations until compliance with environmental norms is achieved.
