Ashok accused the Congress government of "goonda raj" and demanded a high-level probe, questioning the lack of clarity on the shooter. He also called for the suspension of Ballari MLA Nara Bharath Reddy, alleging provocation. Minister V. Somanna also criticized the Congress leadership regarding the incident.
