Sonepat's existing bus stand will be relocated to a 9.33-acre site in Jat Joshi village on NH-44, purchased by the Transport Department in 2018. The new facility, designed by DIMTS under a PPP model, will feature modern amenities like air-conditioned waiting rooms, separate women's areas, electric bus infrastructure, and commercial spaces. A foot-over-bridge on NH-44 is also planned to enhance safety. The project aims to decongest city traffic and was delayed due to administrative issues.
