Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu accused former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of betraying Rayalaseema's interests and spreading false propaganda regarding irrigation projects. Ramanaidu claimed the previous YSRCP government allocated only ₹2,000 crore to Rayalaseema irrigation projects over five years, while the current coalition government has spent ₹8,000 crore in 18 months. He cited the completion of the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi project as an example of the current government's progress.
