
Delhi's water bill waiver scheme has benefited over 2.1 lakh consumers since its launch, with the government waiving approximately 11,000 crore in late payment surcharges. The scheme has collected 224 crore in revenue for the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Officials plan a public awareness campaign to encourage further participation among the 15 lakh eligible domestic consumers with pending dues. The waiver offers a full surcharge waiver until January 31, with a 70% waiver available until March.
