President Donald Trump announced the US will take control of Venezuela until a political transition is secured, following the reported capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. During a press conference, Trump stated the US would manage the country through a "safe, proper and judicious transition." Towards the end of the briefing, Trump also made an unscripted comment expressing he is "not thrilled with Putin."
