The Election Commission of India (ECI) will host the inaugural India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) in New Delhi from January 21-23, 2026. Organized by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), the event aims to be the largest global conference of its kind hosted by India. It will bring together nearly 100 international delegates from Election Management Bodies worldwide, alongside experts and representatives from international organizations and foreign missions. The conference theme is 'Democracy for an inclusive, peaceful, resilient and sustainable world,' aligning with India's chairship of the International IDEA Council.
