Uttar Pradesh reported a nearly 4 lakh decrease in traffic violations in 2025 compared to 2024, attributed by a government spokesman to strict enforcement and awareness drives aligned with the chief minister's vision. Despite the decline, helmetless riding remained the most common violation. Other significant challans included seatbelt violations, overspeeding, and wrong-side driving. The state collected over ₹454 crore from violations and plans to expand digital surveillance in 2026.
