
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has approved seven out of sixteen bills sent by the state government, including those related to appropriations, labor welfare, and religious institutions. However, several controversial bills, such as those concerning hate speech, social boycott, and caste-based reservation, are still awaiting his assent. The Governor has also returned one bill for reconsideration.
