The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition filed by the Hind Samrajya Party challenging the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968. The petitioner argued that the Election Commission of India (ECI) lacks the authority to classify parties as national or state-level and that the order discriminates between recognized and unrecognised parties. The court ruled that the issues were previously settled by the Supreme Court, which has upheld the ECI's constitutional powers to regulate party recognition and symbol allotment for fair elections.
