Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Minister Sanjay Nishad stated that the Nishad community is not a vote bank and possesses the power to influence government formation and dissolution. Addressing the NISHAD Party's Sankalp Diwas, he demanded a CBI inquiry into the deaths of Phoolan Devi and Jamuna Nishad. Nishad also asserted that Praveen Nishad was deliberately made to lose the Sant Kabir Nagar Lok Sabha election. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju praised the NISHAD Party's alliance with the BJP.
