The Supreme Court has mandated that elections for Bengaluru's civic body, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), must be concluded by June 30. The court directed the Karnataka government to publish final ward reservations by February 20 and the State Election Commission to finalize the voter list by March 16. Elections are expected to commence after board exams conclude on May 26, utilizing educational institutions as polling stations. This directive aims to resolve prolonged delays in holding the civic elections.
