Raigad district's gram panchayats have significantly boosted house tax collection, amassing Rs 90.77 crore between August and December 2025 under the Chief Minister's Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan. This initiative, guided by Zilla Parishad CEO Neha Bhosale, included special collection drives, a 50% tax rebate, and a Lok Adalat that resolved over 8,000 cases, recovering Rs 6.80 crore. The increased revenue aims to fund local development and public welfare schemes.
