India has strongly rejected China's infrastructure development in the Shaksgam Valley, asserting it as Indian territory. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that India does not recognize the 1963 China-Pakistan boundary agreement or the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) passing through the region, deeming them illegal and invalid. India has consistently protested these actions, which aim to alter ground realities, and reserves the right to take necessary measures to safeguard its interests. The entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are considered an integral part of India.
