The surrender of top Maoist commander Badse Deva, alias Deva, along with 18 other cadres to Telangana Police is seen as a significant blow to the CPI (Maoist) and its military wing, the PLGA. Deva, who headed the PLGA's first battalion after Madvi Hidma's death, surrendered with a large cache of 48 weapons. Police stated this surrender, alongside that of senior Telangana State Committee member Kankanala Raji Reddy, effectively collapses the party's military operations and state committee in the region.
