Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan has demanded the cancellation of BMC elections in three Colaba wards, citing alleged threats to election officials and interference by Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, whose relatives are BJP candidates. Chavan called the situation 'deplorable' and urged the Prime Minister to intervene. The Aam Aadmi Party has also approached the Bombay High Court, alleging misuse of authority by Narwekar and pressure on their candidate during the nomination process.
