Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the National IED Data Management System (NIDMS), a digital platform developed by the National Security Guard (NSG). This AI-enabled system aims to systematically collect, collate, and disseminate data on improvised explosive device (IED) incidents across India. It is designed to enhance inter-agency coordination, support post-blast investigations, improve forensic evidence quality, and analyze bombing patterns to strengthen the nation's counter-terrorism efforts.
