Bodoland People's Front (BPF) president Hagrama Mohilary stated that while his party has no objection to the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) joining the Assam state Cabinet, he firmly rejects any alliance with UPPL within the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Mohilary indicated that UPPL's role is acceptable at the state or central level but not within the BTC. He also mentioned ongoing development projects in the BTR and preparations for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, where the BPF will seek a larger seat share within the NDA alliance.
