Saudi Arabia has accused the United Arab Emirates of smuggling wanted Yemeni separatist leader Aidarous al-Zubaidi out of the country to Abu Dhabi. The Saudi military claims Zubaidi fled Yemen by boat to Somalia before being flown to the UAE, escalating tensions between the two Gulf allies. This comes as Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council, failed to attend crisis talks in Riyadh and was expelled from Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council on treason charges. The UAE has not immediately responded to the allegations.
