Airlines from the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar have cancelled numerous flights to Iran amidst intensifying nationwide protests over economic hardships. Flydubai cancelled at least 17 flights to Tehran, Shiraz, and Mashhad, while Turkish Airlines, Ajet, and Pegasus Airlines also reported cancellations. These disruptions coincide with a countrywide internet blackout imposed by authorities to curb the spreading unrest. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused protesters of foreign backing, as demonstrations, the largest in three years, have reportedly led to dozens of deaths.
