Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of Orange Travels and a Congress leader, has been arrested by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) in Hyderabad for allegedly evading over Rs 28 crore in Goods and Services Tax (GST). Officials claim Kumar collected GST from passengers but failed to deposit it with the government. In a separate case, Trillion Lead Factory MD N. Chethan was also arrested for alleged fake Input Tax Credit (ITC) rackets totaling Rs 22 crore. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
