
The Union Ministry of Agriculture plans to merge three agricultural schemes into the Pradhan Mantri-Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) with a Rs 1.75 lakh crore outlay over five years. Fund allocation will be tied to state-level reforms and milestones achieved. The merged schemes include Krishonnati Yojana, National Mission on Natural Farming, and National Bee and Honey Mission. This initiative, proposed to align with NITI Aayog recommendations, aims to accelerate agricultural growth and improve farmer income, with funding structured in a 60:40 Centre-state ratio for most states.
