AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that a portion of a mosque property near Turkman Gate in Delhi, identified as Waqf land by a 1970 gazette notification, was demolished during an anti-encroachment drive. He blamed the recently amended Waqf Act, calling it a "black law" used to seize Muslim properties. Violence erupted during the drive, with five police personnel injured by stone-pelting. Owaisi criticized the Delhi High Court's order and the Delhi Waqf Board's inaction, stating the matter would go to the Supreme Court.
