The UN Security Council is set to hold an emergency meeting following a US operation in Venezuela, requested by Colombia and supported by China and Russia. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have reportedly been indicted in New York on charges including narco-terrorism and conspiracy. US forces captured the couple after explosions were heard in Caracas. They have been taken to New York for booking and are expected to face trial soon.
