Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, a senior judge from the Allahabad High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. The Central Government approved the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium. Justice Gupta will assume his new role following the retirement of the incumbent Chief Justice, Justice Guhanathan Narendar, on January 9, 2026. Justice Gupta, elevated to the Allahabad High Court in 2013, is set to retire in October 2026.
