Three Brahmin home guards in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, have accused an IAS officer serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of caste abuse and misconduct. The guards allege the SDM used casteist slurs and ordered his staff to physically humiliate them after an incident involving a disabled person. They have filed complaints with senior officials, seeking action and threatening extreme measures if justice is not served. The SDM has denied the allegations, stating a disabled person entered his chamber inappropriately. An inquiry is pending at the district magistrate level.
