This financial powerhouse, responsible for Mumbai's infrastructure and services, has been managed by an administrator since March 2022 due to the absence of an elected body. Elections for the BMC and other municipal corporations in Maharashtra are scheduled for January 15, with over 1,700 candidates vying for control of the city's richest civic body.
