
Rashmi Shukla, Maharashtra's first woman Director General of Police (DGP), retired on Saturday after 37 and a half years of service. She received a Guard of Honour at her farewell ceremony. Shukla expressed nostalgia and satisfaction with her career, emphasizing teamwork in advancing the Maharashtra Police. Senior IPS officer Sadanand Date has been appointed as the new DGP, taking over from Shukla.
