The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has appointed Valmiki Naik as the new president of its Goa unit, replacing Amit Palekar. This leadership change follows the party's poor performance in recent Zilla Panchayat elections. Gerson Gomes has been named working president, with Prashant Naik and Sandesh Telekar Desai also appointed to key state positions. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal urged the new leadership to focus on clean politics and youth employment. The party currently holds two seats in the Goa Legislative Assembly and secured one Zilla Panchayat seat.
