Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that Uddhav and Raj Thackeray united due to fear of the ruling Mahayuti alliance ahead of the Mumbai municipal corporation elections. He characterized their alliance as a 'bheeti sangam' (coming together out of fear) rather than a 'preeti sangam' (coming together out of love). Fadnavis also criticized their focus, suggesting it was on confusion and corruption rather than development, and alluded to their association with those 'allergic to Vande Mataram'.
